Why is the Audi A6 so cheap to lease?
I'm looking to lease a car
I've looked at prices for the Audi A6
I just don't get it - why is it so cheap?
I'm from the UK and the cheapest price I have seen is £220 + VAT
That's about $350 a month
Am I missing something here? Is there an over supply of A6's!??
ALSO... I wanted some advice on what to look out for when taking out a lease
I've never taken one out before!
Apart from the monthly costs - are there ANY other costs I need to be concerned about?
I've seen some places mention servicing and maintenance - do I need to be concerned or worries about this??
Any advice would be great
Thanks
OM

Other than monthly payment ... you have to look into
() Length of lease
() open or close end lease
() down payment
() allowed mileage per year
() excess mileage $ per mile.
In MA $699/mo, 39 mo lease, 10k mi per yr, 4249 down in lease signing... for find out actual payment per month: total mos of lease x $ per month + down payment then divided by total no of month
that is 39 mo x 699/mo + 4249down / 39 mo = 808 per month when your mileage is within 10k per yr, without excess mileage penalty

Thanks for the replies
This is what I have:
6 x £220 + 23 months at £220
That includes free servicing
I've seen another for £250 - that one comes with maintenance
This is what find really weird: 3 year deals cost a LOT more
I thought the linger the lease, the smaller the payment?
To get £'s into $, just multiply by 1.5 for a very rough comparison
So, the above deal would be $325 - worked out monthly that comes to just under $400 when you work out the real monthly
What am a I missing? Sounds too good?? I've searched the net and have found many places with the same price
Hmmm...?

mileage for £220 per month tends to be 6000
mileage for £250 tends to be 10000
to be honest, i'm not actually a big driver - i won't be driving up and down the country that often
i'd say that my usage was 6000 miles a year
so... i'd probably just be happy with 10000 - just to be on the safe side
is it all a con!?
maybe if it was just a one off website - but there are MANY who have the same pricing!

heck, i want to take out a lease!
i'm just afraid it's all a con!
i'm going to setup a website telling my story - i want to make a few bucks with google ads - it's going to be a genuine website that will help others
(but that's in the planning stages - no idea when it will be launched - just a thought in my head at the moment)
everything i've said is true - just try googling at google.co.uk
not sure if it will give u usa results though

I found it ... lease 220UKP + VAT per mo Business User
In UK the A6 is not same equipped as the USA spec.
It is basically a cheaper version in UK, list price at UKP 30k
Engine 2.0 TDI SE 177HP, manual trans, 24 mos lease, 6k mi per yr, deposit UKP 1,320
220 x 24 + 1320 / 24 = 275 actual monthly payment roughly equal to USD 412
USA A4 auto tipronic quattro with 2.0T petro, 211HP, List price $36K, special 3yr Personal lease is about $389 + 2995 down (Audi pays first mo.) 10k mi per yr.
389 x 35 + 2995 / 36 = $461 is actual monthly payment

hmmm that was a good analysis
maybe it's not such a good deal after all
the cheap price i mention is only for a few of the models - other models have a higher price
what baffles me is WHY the 2 year prices are MUCH cheaper than the 3 year prices - that logic doesn't make sense
i called up one company and spoke to someone
it seems to be all ok - i have yet to read terms and conditions though
+ there are looooads of companies offering the same prices
