Road Noise

Road Noise
Purchased a 2015 Audi A8 L last December with cold weather package, driver assistance package, wheel and tire package, luxury package, and premium package. Previous car was a 2012 Buick Lacrosse. I understand the Buick is not in the same league as the Audi, but i think it has a quieter ride than the Audi. I don't know if its because of the bigger tires/wheels, all wheel drive, or just what. My Audi seems to have more noise from the front than what I was expecting. Anyone else seem to have more road/tire noise than they expected?

I also facing same problem relating to the road noise and looking for useful suggestions.

Problem
That is Audi(VW). No help. It is part of suspension. I have 2006 Audi A6, the same, probably worse. I have Buick Enclave, not worse than Audi, probably better. That is BIG problem for me with Audi and a lot of other cars. I tried Lacrosse. It is the best silent car on rough roads. Do not expect to find anythong similar to it, maybe some 40 years old.

I really like the car other than the road noise. Hard to beat the acceleration/speed and interior quality. Given the price differential between the LaCrosse and the A8, I was expecting an even quieter/smoother ride than what the Buick provided. I may go with different tires when the time comes, but I think I'll keep the Audi.

The same with me. I like almost everything except road noise and hard on bumps. I am not so happy with front lights, but it is not problem. Trunk is small, again not big problem.
I wanted to buy new A8 or S8, but now, I am not sure. Probably I do not buy any car. Reason:
US speed limit is about 70mph, I will ride it only long distance. So, I need comfort, soft on bumps no road noise. I do not need speed to pay tickets and on top of that I do not have silent and soft car.
There is no sense to offer sport, fast car with firm suspension in US, maybe there is in Germany(no speed limit on highway), but in US without soft car I do not want to think about car.

That times passed. All cars have firm suspension, they expect we drive a race. I am sure you will not be happy with Mercedes S550, as I do not.
So, I will keep money in bank or buy this one: 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis for sale in Albuquerque - 2MEBM7FV8AX627605 - Quality Buick GMC
