Hi, I've always looked through the forum but never posted. I've tried searching for prices, but haven't really seen anything solid. I have a D2 and was hoping if anyone coud give me a price on what a timing belt job would be? I tried checking out an indie shop and I was quoted about 1900 which seems pretty steep compared to the 1600 i've seen in past post only I'm not sure if whats included is worth the 1900.

The shop says they'll replace everything just like the dealership with all oem parts and do all the work, but also clean clean my fuel injectors, flushing out all the carbon, etc. Dealership quotes 2200 with tax, but they never mentionedanything else except for the tb job itself: water pump, tensioners, etc. Any help would be great. Also if you're from NYC and can direct me to a good shop you go to yourself that would benefit me also thenI would be grateful.

 

My waterpump, Tbelt and thermostat ran me 1845.00. It was just 800 comething just for the thermostat replacement including labor. You may want to replace the thermostat also with all this.

 

Hi, that makes me feel better now. I forgot to mention that the thermostat was included also, and the radiator is getting flushed.

 

bwahaha! i got quoted from my local dealer $3200. yeah right.

 

The dealer told me 2800 for D3. I have a D2. Could me more expensive for D3. Still 3200.00 is a lil too high.

 

I agree. 3200 sounds really high.

 

Dealer quoted 2400 for D3 not 2800.00. Sorry.
