So... I didn't start my Q7 for a month because I was out of the country. Now that I'm back, I tried to unlock the Audi with the remote but it didn't work. So I tried to unlock it with the key, it does not turn either way in the lock. I'm sure that the battery is dead but I can't jump start it because I have to open the door to open the hood. Any suggestions?

 

I know this is an old thread and i'm almost sure you got in the truck but if you put the key in the lock even with battery dead it should unlock at least the drivers door or the door you are trying to unlock.

 

My guess is he has never used the key lock and it's seized from corrosion. Seen this a million times on trunks especially. Always use the remote or inside switch to open the lid and one day, the actuator fails. Key lock hasn't been used in 5 years, corroded into a solid mass that you can't even get the key to go in. At least that's what happens here in Saltconsin, I mean Wisconsin.
