The back portion of my rear passenger door handle flew out of my Audi Q7 when I opened the door. Now there is an opening into the door where the part is supposed to be. I have the piece that came off, and I put it in the door when I park in public, and take it out when I drive.
I have had a few people look at this problem, (including an Audi dealer) but no one can figure out how to fix this or what part to order. Has anyone had this happen to their vehicle, and if so, how much of a headache is it to fix?
This is embarrassing to say the least, and the handle is very vulnerable to further damage if used. Needless to say, I don't allow the door to be opened from the outside unless absolutely necessary.
I consider this a big issue, though my husband just thinks it's cosmetic and not a big deal. He wants to glue the part back on the car door.
I have never had an issue like this with any car.
I would appreciate any guidance.
My Audi seems to be a bit of a trouble child lately.
