I have what Audi calls a "license plate bracket" on the vehicle, Part NO: 8J0807285QT94, sometimes referred to as a "license plate panel" or "license plate holder". Since Indiana does not require a front license plate, I would like to replace it with what Audi calls a "bracket", Part NO: 8J0807285RT94, which is commonly referred to as a "grill filler panel". From what I can glean from the AudiUSA website (parts), the part numbers above should fit 2011-2014 TTs. Certainly, they do fit a 2014 model year. Part NO: 8J0807285QT94 has inscribed on the back: "8J0807285 P/Q". Underneath is "PC/PET". Does anyone have Part NO: 8J0807285RT94 that they want to trade for Part NO: 8J0807285QT94? Failing that, does anyone have Part No: 8J0807285RT94 for sale? Both parts MSRP is $311.00, plus approximately $25.00 shipping. However, both are readily available new, on line for approximately $250.00, including shipping.

 

I may have a p/n soon. I purchased a used '15 roadster with a written agreement the dealer would replace the filler. It's enroute from Germany.

 

I finally 'bit the bullet" and bought the part that I need (8J0807285RT94) - $233.25, including shipping but still, ugh! The part does retail for $311.00 though. It'll be interesting to see what your part number is. Have not yet gotten up the courage to try and install the new part; anyone have any "how to" tips? I'd hate to break it!

 

Went to the dealer today and they installed the front filler. Sure looks a bunch better than before. I expected the part number would be on the repair order copy I received but it wasn't. Since you went ahead and bought one it no longer matters I suppose.

 

Thanks. The part number should've been inscribed on the backside. I know that my "license plate bracket" had the part number on the back of it; never thought to look for the part number on the new "filler panel". I also had the dealer install mine. The tech who did the 15 K service took the "bracket" off for me then - gratis and told me that he'd install the "panel" when I got it - also gratis. I did give him a tip, both times though. Absolutely correct on the new "look"; makes a world of difference!
