Default Replaced HID bulbs opinions.. (updated)

The passenger side HID (D2S) bulb went out.
So of course might as well replace both and upgrade while im at it.

I have found a few places to get them I just am not so sure about- A.Where to purchase? & B. What heat range?
Oh and I am broke as a.....whats the saying Joke?

(A)Places that I have found
Well just about any respectable online store has them for around $150-$300 for the pair
Ebay, Amazon, and other "googled" places from $25-$80 a pair.
Ive read that the ballast is whats improtant when it comes to HID's and both of mine are good(still) but I dont wanna get a set of bulbs that will last less than a couple months or however long.

(B) Heat ranges I like
4300k is stock-Im happy with the look
6000k is a little more blue-some say crystal white... whatever
8000k this is more my color-really like the blue tint
10000k now heres my problem- I dont want it to be too blue [&:]
12000k purples not my color too ricey [:'(]

so ebay, amazon, etc...- Y/N
or shell out the cash

Well help me out guys
Thanks

I got mine on eBay for $42 after shipping. Supposed to be 12000k, but closer to 8000k. They have lasted over 200 hours now. I fully expect them to lastmuch longer. If I had to do it again I would go with the 6000k. The more blue you go the harder it is to see the road lit up. 4300k is where your eyes are most sensitive, but 6000k is that pure white you see in the Acura TL's and such and looks better on the outside.

Cool if the lihting is a little bit lighter than expected that would be fine. I figured just go for it and buy the ebay ones.
I went with the 8000k bulbs.... crossing my fingers.

Nope still waiting I hope they come soon.
Your headlights look real good though as well as the dash.
The VDO in the vent looks real nice is that the AWE vent gauge?
I just put my vent gauge together with the vent ring.

Nah the vdo is mounted to the modshack vent ring. It was quite a bit of work to get all the crap out and glue it in properly, not to mention finding a glue that would hold in all temp conditions. I ended up using my hightemp silcone gasket sealer :-) Works great! The only thing I'm going to do now with the gauge is replace the bulb with an led one to get it to look more like the rest of thedash.
