broken dipstick tube
will a broken dipstick tube cause a vacuum leak code? immediately after i fixed the leak in the pcv tubing i noticed an increase in power. then slowly it started to decrease again. so today pulled off the bracket that holds the tube down and noticed it was broken near the bottom. i don't think it broke when i removed the bracket. the dealership quoted $9.84 for a new one i'll pick up tomorrow. for now i'll just superglue it and put it back on. should i get an oil change? there's no telling how much crap already got in my crankcase.

That tube isn't going to cause a vacuum leak. It is more than likely a hose that you either pulled loose another hose or you have a split somewhere. There is a quite often overlooked hose that has a sort of S shaped bend that connects to the bottom of your intake manifold on one end and to the PCV valve on the other.
