What you should be looking for is any filter which has the capacity to trap small dirt particles as small as 10 to 20 microns and the filter that uses synthetic media which is a blend of of synthetic glass or rayon microfibers with cellulose fibers they are somewhat more expensive around $13.00 but it's worth it.
Even at 100,000 miles? Hmm... Well, in that case, do you think I will be ok running 10w30 for 3000 miles until the next oil change? I would hate to have to go spend $40 on 5 more quarts of oil... :/

Since the warmer weather are here, you'll be fine. If cost oil is an issue here's what I would do next time you change your oil. I use full synthetic oil 5w30 with a $13.00 oil filter and change my oil every 7000 miles with no issues.

Thanks, and cost of oil isn't really a n issue. I was just sayin' that I had just spent ~$40 on oil and it would suck to have to drain it all out and it be a waste. lol

I would use Amsoil 5W-40. I run 10W-40 in my car but I have twice the miles and live in a warmer climate. Amsoil makes a really durable quality oil that you can run 10,000 plus miles on.
