it was just a fuse...........now heres the kicker.....
Fuse is ok.......but the palce where fuse goes into contact (r/s fuse connector point towardds the rear of the veh) is burnt?
fuse didn't blow..
what would cause this?
TIA

installed my relay yesterday, not too bad removing battery box but one screw below the hid box is hard until i noticed the outside shell of batt box has 4 blk screws "hiding" remove these the outside comes off and you can push top of box to access the last screw, didnt drive it yet ran out of time, i only had lo speed fans, since its was cool in pa thats all i really needed, no overheating, i have no radio code but as vag-com posted radio will come on eventually as long as its installed in orig vehicle, i love that Bose system, best factory setup i ever had!

I had ordered the same relay (N294??) from an ebay seller some months ago but don't have time to do it. Both fans go off at about 94-95degCentigrade but it is very consistent, I wouldn't try to fix what is not unfixed. I'm happy with it. Since it it warm here in the Philippines, the next problem that came up was the headliner separated and sagged completely. I had some difficulty removing the whole headliner and broke some pegs along the way. One other thing is that the airconditioning spews some foam. I heard that this is bound to happen soon and it did. I have been constantly been cleaning it, maybe until it runs of the aircon foam lining. I dont know what will come next.

do some searching as there may be a U-Tube, a factory service manual + patience will prolly get-er-dun. i replaced on in a 1.8T 2001 jetta, prolly similar, take your time as old plastic parts can crack if not careful
