bad MAF?
hey guys recently my tt started running lean, it threw code po171 (generic, too lean bank 1), but i dont hve a check engine light, and ive been gettin crappy gas mileage, theres 73k on the car, so is it possible my maf went bad? i hve an oiled filter idk if tht screwed it up, but im keeping it , im not starting this oiled medium filter vs dryflow debate again so do u guys think i should replace the maf? i cleaned it n it helped a little.

I would try testing the MAF. When the car is running grab a DMM and probe the power wire. Have someone sit in the car and rev, your voltage should increase with rpm, if you don't see this or it is sporadic i would change it out.

After cleaning MAF (oil filter also) it went off but I noticed it coming back on but I also let it sit for long periods of time without driving which may be your case.
The code may go back off again. Drive it more and give it time to see if it will go off on its own.

my maf fixed itself after i cleaned it, it runs fine now im doin a fuel filter, and cleaning my injectors to keep it from happening again
