yea, when I test driving and check out the TT, I saw a phone or network jack under the drink holders in the back. The jack is facing to passenger side. I asked the owner what is that for, and he told me he just knew there is a jack there...

 

It's to plug in a car phone. That's what the antenna on top of the car is for also. The radio antenna is in the rear windshield.

 

Is this something year-specific?
I dont have an antenna on my roof nor do i have the jack.

I don't have a phone antenna either... Someone broke it off, so instead I have a little metal disc with a thin, short cable sticking out of it.
There is a cover for the phone jack that blends in really well. Just look on the pass. side behind the cup holders, it's there.
You can plug a car phone into the jack... I don't think a regular house phone will work.

 

To integrate with the car, theres a few specific car phone systems you can use that are plug and play. There are a few that have rigged stuff together to work with it. BTW, that 1x2" square on your instrument cluster, up between the speedo and tach is the microphone, I believe the center speaker up on the dash doubles as the phone speaker.
