Hey guys, as you might have guessed by my sn i dont drive an audi, i had a 90s sometime ago but went to WRX, but one of my friends has a 1996 A4 2.8, his b-day is comin up and id like to get him something for the car, i have searched pretty extensively but cant find many good solid power adders for the 2.8 (NA FTL), so im here for opinions on god upgrades for the 2.8 excluding supercharger/turbo because i dont have that kinda money to spend on my car, much less anyone else's.

You could get it chipped for him but thats about it... that really wont add much if any noticeable hp though. Wait 96 is 12valve right? Does a chip help a 12v at all?

 

No chip for the 12v v6. Get him a stripper.

Yes, I've seen them many times laying unconscious in the fetal position in the trunk. Good for rear wheel grip during the winter months.

you can pick up a hot air intake off of eBay...it wont add power, but it will sound a bit better....

besides that....maybe you should pick him up some euro plates...since he has the euro trunk....

maybe some one piece headlights?

an Rs4 grill.....some facelift tail lights maybe?

if his windows aren't tinted that would be a nice mod....

the 12 year old speakers are prolly shot if they havnt been replaced....

a new coolant resevoir cleans up the engine bay real nice....those old orangeish containers kill the whole bay imo

a TT dead pedal and some ecs pedal covers maybe?

if he is stick than a short throw shifter off of ebay along with a weighted shift **** would be nice...along with a shiftboot if his is beaten....

an R8 oil cap maybe?....or the forge oil/coolant cap covers (they look amazing)

some aftermarket fog lights?

wheel spacers in the back might add to the look...depending on how low the car is and what kind of wheels it has....

Only power adder I know of for the 12 valve would be Nitrous.

 

Ok well i guess its looking gloom for the power adders, thanks a lot guys i appreciate this, now to go look for cosmetic stuff because as yall have proven what i was suspecting there is no way to add substantial power to that car without breaking the bank.
