its beenalmost a yearsince i purchased my 2001 1.8TQ. I always wanted to do just basic mods (wheels, HID'S, Suspension) to it but since ive been reading up on engine mods im sort of getting hooked on the idea of getting it done. Im getting my suspension, wheels, and breaks done in spring but i wanna do a few engine mods as well. I figured my budget is $1500 which I know isnt alot in the Audi modification world but what do you guys think? I looked up many articles on what mods cost what and what I can expect from them but I want your guys knowledge as this is my first go around on any engine modification for any car. The $1500 is my budget forengine mods only with no labor. I know chipping it would be the big thing to do for my budget but how bout a ko4? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hear so many different things from so many different people...Thanks again

 

the ko3 on your car is basically a ko4, that is a waste. Just go down a few more threads where someone has a $1200 budget, just do that.

Yes.

For your budget, I would just go with a 1+ flash with larger injectors, a custom 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and new spark plugs. I haven't check out the other thread however, so I'm not sure what they're recommending.

 

If you want HIDs, make sure to go no higher than 6000K.(temp) Some less than intelligent people go for 8000k-12000k HIDs, and they might as well have kept their halogen projectors.......4300k is the way to go If you want the best light output.......
