A4 2.8 quatro water pump replacement
Can anyone help me locate a thread that shows pictures and step by step on how to do this. I bought the kit for the timing belt with the water pump and belt tensioner on it 2 years ago and the pump and belt tensioner both are bad.
I saw the guy do the job without taking the front end off but I am kind of stuck on removing the fan bolts without pulling the radiatior.
Thanks,

Plenty of DIYs for the whole job on a 1.8T out there. They'll be the same for a 2.8 until you get to removal of accessories and timing gear. Most of that is evident when you're looking at it. On either car the timing belt blocks the water pump partially or fully ^^^so the whole thing has to come off before the pump comes out - it's the last part to remove before reassembling the whole thing.

I just watched the JHMotorsports 2.7-8 timing belt video.. It's great. I definately recommend it. Watch the clip JH Motorsports Inc.
It goes over taking out the waterpump.
Like ImTheDevil said the Timing belt is in the way of the waterpump. It would probably be easier to just redo everything. You may as well go grab a new timing belt while you're in there.

To clarify, not just the belt - get a timing kit from one of the vendors and do all the associated parts. Eventually they have to be done anyhow ^^^so don't make yourself duplicate the labor later on. Do it now and drive securely.
