Default Auxillary fan fuse and relay location

I have a 2000 A4 2.8 quattro. I had a bad auxillary fan. The bearings were screaming for a month. Before I got a new one it just stopped working. Hooked in the new on and it isnt powering on. So I know it with has a blown fuse or relay. I have heard about a 40amp fuse. Can you please tell me the location of this? Its not in the fuse panel on the left side of the dash. Also tell me the location of the relays?

Thanks

I asked sever repair shops and they ensured me that there was only a relay, not so. There is a fuse, it is a big orange one. It is located on the drivers side, there is a black panel you must remove, it can be a little tricky. There are a couple of bolts and the panel will come loose, if you look up in there you will see the orange fuse. I am not sure on the location of the relays.

I'm thinking your meaning in the engine compartment on the drivers side. Thank you I'm going to go give that a try.

Ok I found the problem its was not the 40amp fuse in the engine compartment. It was the 40amp fuse located under the dash. was a little tricky to find but solved the problem. Thanks for all of your help

Sorry for the confusion, I was trying to tell you the location of the fuse, but was not clear. It took me a while to find that fuse that was hiding away from the other fuses.

There is a panel under the steering wheel that must be removed. It can be a little difficult to remove. There are a couple of bolts and the panel will drop down. There is a orange 40 amp fuse.
