Default Can you tell me what this valve is?

It's popping off/splitting apart and causing me to lose boost, etc.

Does anyone know the name of the part (or part #) and/or is there any way to fix it w/o having to replace it (pardon my ignorance)?

Thanks

"suction jet valve" if it is broke it just needs replaced. Not too salty.

Most Audi/Volkswagen parts are stamped right on the part. May be small but if you look close you will find it. Will look like this 1J0 234 567 A. May or may not have a suffix.

058 133 753D

Grind the locking tab off the OEM clamps, pry them free, replace the SJP, put new clamps on.

I lose boost from the same spot! When I did a boost test and sprayed water on that spot in bubbled, not a lot but it still bubbled. I even changed the hose clamp and it still does the same thing.

Actually my spot is the one above it to the right.

Mine was doing the same thing, until it just "popped right open" (there are 2 halves to it). It'll cause misfires if it gets bad enough.

I'm just happy it's easily accessible. I'm tired of being a contortionist.

FWIW: I ordered a new one, but you can run some super glue down /around the edge I circled in the last pic and it should fix your problem (at least temporarily).

Another alternative is to delete that part entirely
It's a reasonably common thing to do, and manual AEB cars don't have the part at all.
In fact I deleted mine, and along with deleting the suction jet pump you can delete one or two check valves as well (reduce the number of boost leak opportunities).

Can you elaborate on this?

I assume he's talking about this post. Simplifying/deleting the PCV/Vac lines is a way to clean up the engine bay and reduce the number of parts that can potentially **** the bed and leave you stranded.
