Exclamation Need help with bolt size, please advise

Can anyone do me a favor and tell me the size of the bolts that hold the safety latch to the hood? I have been unable to find it online or by search and my car is not anywhere near me since i have to take a trip out to the Air Force base to work on it.

I am looking for the size of bolts so I can find a wrench for trying to take my hood off while it is still closed (since the locking mechanism is seized)

Also, can someone be so kind as to measure the position of the third bolt located on the passenger side of the latch. I need to drill it out from the top and need a position to drill into it. (I.e. such and such inches front center-line down such and such inches from the top of the front grill)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Polisan

Ok they're 10mm bolts and the center of the passenger-side mount bolt is approximately 1/2" to the passenger side of the point where the two left-side grille rings (left side as you stare at the front of the car) intersect. Measuring from the rear edge of the hood, closest to the windshield, the center of that bolt looks to be about 33" forward. That seemed to be a more accurate measuring point than starting from the grille and following the contour. Hope it helps!

No problem. A disclaimer - I would make a probing drillhole with a small bit to be sure you locate the bolt correctly. I gave measurements as close as I could but as I had just gotten home my engine was hot so I couldn't lay across it. You'll have to allow for some tolerance in the measurements - not a great thing when you're drilling holes in tour hood but hopefully it works out right. Maybe someone with a project going on that involves removing the hood can give a second set of numbers to back mine up or refute them?
