hey guys im new here

i have a problem with the display between the speedo and rev counter, iwent to fillup at a garage on the way everything was fine after filling up and getting back into my car while turning the key i think i accidently pressed the reset/on & off button and nowthe display shows no information its just switched off.
i know the display is working because i get the ok on startup and still get get all the system checks when i press the clock adjustment pin, i have tried pressing the reset button to switch it back on but when i press it nothing happens.
ive only recently bought and replaced everything to be sure timming belt and tensioners , water pump , oil cooler , oil and filter , etc.
anyway what other things could go wrong with display?? is there anyway i can reset it to return it to its normal function??

for any help i would be very grateful.

on./off switch is beneath the wiper stalk. reset button is the left stick on the cluster. the buttons to swutch the different modes of displayis on the righr side of the wiper stalk.

 

hi thanks for the reply, thats all i have on the wiper stalk is a reset button and the selector for the display but nothing on the right side,i cant find a on and off button, when you say beneath do you mean its on the wiper stalk but on the underside of it??

i have fiddled and pressed all the buttons but my display still hasnt comeback on but i know the lcd display is working fully, this small problem is driving me crazy.

its aaudi a4 1.8 se avant.

 

Its on the bottom of the wipe stock, just press it. It will also show you in the manual....

 

Could it be that your display is bad? Mine doesn't show anything if the temperature outside is more than about 80 degrees.
