Default cylinder 2,3 spark plugs/coil area filled with oil

Do i need new rings? i was changing my valve cover gasket and notice that cylinder 2/3 where filled to the top with oil covering the spark plug, the coil pack was covered in oil. could this be why I have a small oil/coolant leak thats not showing on my driveway and white/blue smoke coming out the exhaust?
What did I break? the piston rings? maybe thecylinder walls are pooped?I have very limited income so all work would be done by myself.
thanks

its most likely the gasket between the cylinders. CLean it and put it back together. IF it comes back, we shall look for a new source. You can always do a compression test after to see if the rings are fine or not.

what should the ideal compression look like?
Which Gasket between the cylinders are you referring too? the head gasket?
Thanks

the valve cover comes with 2 parts. One goes around the outside and there is one that goes on the inside. Im talking about the inside one that goes like -0-0-0-0-.

Compression is like 180 on a new motor with 140 the min.

I replaced the spark plugs, the old ones where dry underneath and black, the top of the pistons looked dry too. so hopefully it was that gasket.

if its filled up to the top. you most likely need new piston rings and valves. i was changing my spark plugs on my audi 2.8q and 1,2,4,5 cylinders had a lil oil at the spark plugs. i know my piston rings are fuzzed. =/ to get to my piston rings would take me 15+ hours (never did such thing on a german car) so i decided to leave it alone and jus add oil every week. i also recomment a compression test. dry and oiled. =D

for the white/blue smoke... its definitely a blown head gasket.

g/l figuring it out.
