Angry Door lock cylinder

Sooo my drivers door lock is broken, I put the key in the lock and and it will just keep turning. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a new drivers door lock aftermarket? or how much they are from the dealer? 2000 A4 quattro

Thx, John

hmmm, would that be the same for a 2000? I checked a 2000 instead of a 99 and it didn't come up with the cylinder and key. It also says 96-99 for the year. I just need confirmation before I go ordering the wrong parts lol.

I have the same problem...I just bought a 1999 audi a4 and my door lock is broken...it just keep turning when I insert the key. I'm wondering if this is the reason why my keyless entry alarm remote doesn't work. The only way I can lock the car is from the trunk. If I decide to fix the door lock do I have to get new keys for the ignition, door and trunk?? when I lock the car from the trunk it makes a sound but doesn't flash. After I lock the car the blinking lights in the doors do stay blinking though. CAn someone help me??

I have the same problem about 2 months ago my remote stopped working so i decided to stick the key in the drivers door and it just kept spinning. Took the door down only to find that the lock cylinder was broken. Tried to JB weld it n it just kept falling off. The guy at the dealer didn't even know what I was talking about. So for the past 2 months i've had to enter the car from the passenger side which at this point is really pissing me off!

Default Audi A4, (B5, 1996-99.5, Pre-Facelift) Door Lock Repair Kit (left or right)

As far as I know:
Pre facelift (1996-1999.5?) use the same locks as the B5 Passat, sold here:
RegulatorFix.com

The post facelift (2000-2001) and S4 B5 use an entirely different lock style. No repair kit available for those as far as I know.

Contact me at RegulatorFix.com with questions.
