Okay, then I believe that means that your EDL is in fact working. If it was not, then only one wheel (the same wheel) would spin on both sides of the test. only a spool would make both wheels spin at the same time (which we obviously don't have). That means that the power IS getting transferred, but I think I read somewhere that our cars transfer power to the wheel with the least amount of grip, which seems *** backwards, but I'm pretty sure that's how our TCS/EDL work, which would explain a lot. That would be similar to how Limited Sip/Posi-Trac Diffs work

I guess figuring out if that's true is our next step.

No, that's completely backwards. All conventional differentials (like in my FWD, NOT like a quattro differential) naturally transfer motion to the wheel with the least traction. Path of least resistance and all. The EDL is a system designed to counteract this. The entire point of this system is to add resistance where there is none. This "tricks" the differential into providing torque to both wheels. To do this, it applies the brakes (using the abs system) to the wheel without traction.

Yes, I understand how an open differential works and what the difference is between ours and a conventional open diff. Here is my point:

EDL testing, in your conditions - or worse:

You see?

Right, that video shows how EDL SHOULD work, but mine doesn't work at all. In situations like that, one wheel just continues to spin and the other side remains stationary.

Ahhh! I see.

I just did a lot of researching and everything seems to point to the abs sensors and/or controller.

It's possible that you may have an ABS issue that's not throwing any codes. I would try disconnecting one ABS sensor at a time and see if you get any codes. If you don't find anything strange there., I suppose the next logical step would be to check the abs module itself, because it doesn't sound like a mechanical issue to me.

Yeah, those are about the only things I can think of too. The ABS unit has been rebuilt, so I'm hoping it's an ABS sensor.

Buy a new one and test it on each wheel separately and see what happens.

Any luck?

If not, go here and talk to a guy named Ian:

https://squareup.com/store/reflecttuning

He does all of my flashing, module work, etc. The dude's a genius....and he's super cool. You should email him and let him know your situation and he may already know what's wrong and how to fix it.

Copy my sig and tell him I (my sig) sent you.
