Finished car project - Thank you
I finally finished the car project and this post is about 1-1/2 months overdue. I wanted to specifically thank A4TurboGuy, elduderino200, ImTheDevil and redline380 for their help and anyone else I might have missed.
The help made a definite difference in completing the project.
With just the heater core to flush and an a/c schrader valve to replace once it gets hot again (and some interior cosmetics), I sure hope I am finished for a while. This was the first time working on the car this extensively. This is what I did:
Replaced Valve cover gaskets, air and cabin filter and Cam plug.
Oil and filter change, and new battery.
New fan clutch and fan switch temperature sensor (one that goes into radiator)
Of course checked the timing belt and seals/water pump for leaks (all appeared to look good)
New snub, transmission and motor mounts.
New expansion tank and cap with coolant flush.
Fixed power steering return line (to rack) and replaced return line to reservoir line.
New upper and lower control arms (all) passenger and driver’s side and sway bar drop links.
New outer tie rods with new tie rod/rack boots (both sides).
New Shocks/Struts all (front and back), including shock mount (front) and bumpers/caps (all)
Rebuilt Calipers both sides and new brake lines front only and did brake flush.
Purchased used Audi axles (both sides) and put on new outer joints/boots and inner boots.
As I said I sure hope everything lasts without any issues and get many more miles out of the car. Thanks again and here is a pic of the daily driver.

Awesome! Looks good too, better than mine and mine's in pretty decent exterior shape.
Glad to be of help. I know the pain of having to work on a car that needs help in a ton of places and the satisfaction in getting all/most of it done.
Go out and enjoy her now!
