Angry Hazard switch issues like no other!

Ok, I have a 2001.5 A4 1.8T and I searched high and low on here for someone with the similar issue but only found some close to it.

PROBLEM: both left and right indicators would work whenever they wanted, and my hazards worked fine. Then no hazards at all but indicators seemed to work more often. The right working about 80% of the time and the left about 50% but the left would shut off if I hit the brake(kind of a big roll in prepping for a turn). So I found the OE part on eBay, popped it in and BAM! Both indicators work but still no hazards(which was my main reason to replace). So I leave the parking lot and the same thing happened with my left indicator and the brake! Both indicators come on with no issue now but I'm stuck with the other half of my problem. I don't know what to do from here??? Please, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Ok I chased wires and my indicators work perfectly now, but my four ways are still out, like I said before, when I put my lights on, the switch kinda strobes. No clue what to do? And I'm lookin for a combi switch. Any help is greatly appreciated!

combi switch - aka the left stalk that controls your lights and turn signals. they get dirty and need cleaning.

Start by going to the dealer and trying a genuine hazard switch. Sometimes it can take a couple to get a properly working one. Any hamstermarket part is definitely not going to work, or will fail quickly. Without eliminating this as a definite first, you risk chasing your tail.

^^^This^^^

It may or may not fix it, but no matter how you try to troubleshoot this, you're going to have a wild card with that Chinese eBay switch.

The Audi switch, $55 online here:
