Where can i find a complete stroker kit for the 97 A4 1.8t? it has 130,000 nd it makes a little knock so i wana pull it out and do the 1.8 to 2.0 stroker kit. I recently saw a complete kit minus the crank for 2500 bucks but i forgot what the site was. So if u could please help me out i'd appreciate it. thanks

Find a kit and then price out the parts individually. It may be cheaper to buy individually. Alot of people buy the kits because its less of a hassle. The sellers know this so they'll jack up the prices. 2500 sounds a little pricey for just a rebuild. But ive also only looked into rebuilding a chevy SB 350 and BB 454 so...

audi is not a chevy. 2500 for everything but a crank is a decent deal depending on whats exactly in the kit. theres alot of parts that go into a 2.0L. ive been pricing it out for about 2 months now. i just wish i could find some 11mm ARP head bolts for under $350 bucks.

I realize that haha. Do you know of a site where it states everything you need for a COMPLETE rebuild. Id like to actually price this out myself. Ive been thinking of doing this next summer. Also what about tuning. Where can you get a tune for the 2.0L?

well what do you have? do you have a 05A block or 06A? are you doing an AEB engine? are you going to be using a 92.8mm crank from an ABA VW or the 2.0L crank from an FSI engine? if your using the FSI crankshaft you need to have a different oil pump gear pressed on. what parts will you be reusing or are you going to build a complete engine from the ground up? are you going to use the stock head or build it up? what HP are you going for? do you want lower end power or do you want to be able to rev to 12k rpms? what turbo are you going to be using?

for tuning you can get a unitronics big turbo file, they go by injector size. any 2 liter build will need to be tuned on a dyno. theres no way around that.

Edit: heres my shopping list of the main things needed to put my engine together...

rods- 20mm pins
crankshaft- 92.8mm stroke
pistons- 83mm
head gasket
crank bearings
main bearings
main bolts
head bolts
flywheel bolts
rear main seal
intermediate shaft seal
oil pan gasket
front seal
valve cover gaskets
oil pump
timing belt kit
rollers n tensioners
water pump
thermostat

also i need to replace an oil squirter i destroyed today.
not to mention the turbo, manifold, wastegate, MBC, trans fluid, oil, clutch, etc...

thats not everything just the major stuff. theres always a bunch of little things you find out you need once you go to put it together.
