Default ideas to solve pinch bolt problem once and for all

Well I thought my CV shaft was out so after a bunch of fiddling I got it out with out taking the knuckle off. Turns out it was the bearing after all. and of course I had a huge problem with the pinch bolt. I ended up drilling it out and acciently drilling through where the bolt goes. I'm problem gonna buy another knuckle because I've weakened it know. But I wanna solve the problem for next time. What are people doing to stop the pinch bolt from seizing? I'm thinking stainless bolt and a **** ton of antiseize. Any other ideas?

You can try, just be sure to match the grade of the bolt. The other, more labor-intensive idea, is to jack up the front of the car once a month, reach in and break it free, and tap it out an inch before reseating it.

I'll sell my car before having to deal with that ******* bolt again..........

Ok, so I probably won't, but still......

I used anti-seize on both when I replaced the entire front end a few years ago and I'm pretty sure it won't do me any damn good if and when I have to replace bits in the future.

On Sunday, after realizing MAPP heat and a sledge weren't going to work on the pinch bolt, my solution was a cold industrial size bottle of Budweiser, a hardened drill bit cooled with water from a spray bottle every 45 seconds, and proper aim. Took about 40 minutes to drill that bitch out.

Yep if fire and violence don't do it, drilling is the only option. And PB won't do it - it chemically welds itself to the spindle so you'd have to break it free. If it isn't broken free nothing will get in there. The only thing that will, if it is broken free, is Kroil or Deep Creep.

I had the sledgy out this time and bent more than one punch after drilling it out half way. I literally swore at my girlfriend when she called in the middle of it. I felt pretty bad hence the need to solve it. I'm really hoping stainless bolts help. The funny thing is I never had a problem with them before. But I was using an air hammer

LOL, I'm sure this thought has crossed everyone's mind who has ever had a stuck pinch bolt. I know I was saying the same exact thing when mine was stuck.
