Default Plug gapping

Ok so I just got my ecu done with stage two programming, the car run fines and I have not re gapped the plugs from the regular .032. Oliver at speedtuning told me it was not necessary but a lot of people here tell me to goto .028, anyone have input?

Generally this is a requirement if you have an AEB engine because the AEB uses the weaker/crappy ICM and coil pack setup. I can imagine getting away with a larger gap on 2000+ 1.8T cars though. But it's a good idea anyways because you'll be pushing a lot more through the plugs.

AEB is 97-99.5. Your engine code is ATW, 2001+ is AWM.

EDIT: Thought I would clarify that ^this^ only applies to NA 1.8T motors. Your results may vary.

If it runs fine, then why mess with it? If it starts running badly down the road, move re-gapping the plugs to the top of your list.
