Default OBD-II cable

I downloaded a Vag-Com program onto my laptop so I could hopefully scan my own codes. My question is: Is there a less sketchy place to buy a cable than eBay?

I think I'll have to go the ebay route as well unless someone knows of another place. I placed an order with autonostics almost a month ago and my vag-com cable has not arrived and I doubt it will so I claimed a dispute through paypal so I can get my money back. They never respond to emails or phone calls.

^ Wow that sucks! I just wanted to try to find a cable that wasn't so sketchy, and atleast maybe German instead of so obviously Chinese.

Buy one from this guy and it will work. He has both USB Cables and Serial Port.

Good Luck...

Ross-tech will let you download the program for free. All the free download will do is let you read and clear codes. If you buy the full bundle for $300 or so you can play with timing and fuel.
