Default power steering fluid leaking

so today i got into my car just to realize that it was suddenly low on power steering cuz it was making this whining noise. was on my way to school so couldnt stop and get any fluid before, but i sure did get some after school. it says that it has some leak stop stuff in there but i dont think that it would stop a leak lol. i accidentally put a little too much in there and it is still making the whining noise, but just not as loud. where should i check for leaks cuz just from looking around i only noticed that one hose under the reservoir had some dirty build up on it.

as far as the leak...the hose from the power steering fluid reservoir, goes from the reservoir, down, along the front of the engine to the passenger side intake, behind your belts...it's a metal tube, but then reconnects on the passenger side, next to the spark plugs back to a rubber hose, that's where they generally leak....or right below the reservoir.....

DRAIN IT!!! FAST!!! That's probably why its still squeeling...you can get the stuff at pep boys I think...but it has to be MINERAL based, I either use pentosin 11f or bilstein 7.1, but napa sells it for sure...did you just pull it off the shelf or ask pep boys? It NEEDS to be mineral based...as far as your leak, pull the plastic engine cover off, looking at the front of your engine, you'll see a hose towards the top that goes from metal to rubber, that would be your power steering pump hose...the metal one piece hose is costly....so hopefully it's simple for you...

Here's a good link you might like to read:

Otherwise just google, some parts are interchangeable, I ALWAYS go by part numbers!!! so you might find it cheaper once you refill, bleed your PWR Steering pump, but bleeding it is a bit$$!!!!!

i took the extra oil that i accidentally added too much of and the whine is almost completely gone. i saw two hoses go to the reservoir one is rubber and the other is some kind of material. the rubber one seems ok, but the material one is covered with crap right where it meets the reservoir. i will see if the level goes down again, and then i will do more exploring where it might be leaking.
