Went I start the car the rpms will go up and down from normal to wanting to die repeatedly for about 4 seconds then it'll idle normally. Same thing if I rev it, when I let go it'll go rough for a few seconds then return to normal.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Have new sparkplugs and ICM.

 

MAF! lol is it every time you start or just at cold? mine did this for 2 minutes on cold starts and then would run fine i cleaned the maf and it doesn't do it anymore start from there

 

It does it even after it warms up.

 

When did the problem start? Did these problems start after you replaced the sparkplugs and ICM?

 

I just recently bought the car and it came with that problem along with a bad ICM (2nd cylinder was not firing at all) so I replaced the ICM and spark plugs too while I was at it.
