"Slapping" sound at rear Shocks
1997 A4 1.8 Turbo (no quatro)
So a friend and I replaced the rear shock absorbers in my car a couple weeks ago. Surprisingly the job was pretty easy and went off without a hitch. The ride of the car is sooooo much better now, i love driving it again! However there is a slight "slapping" sound coming from the passenger side rear wheel area now. Sounds almost like metal hitting plastic and rateling.
It doesn't happen when the car is driving on a smooth road, but when the i drive down a bumpy road i notice it really bad. Sounds almost like something is loose... but i've checked and double checked and everything looks to be tight. It doesn't feel loose... just sounds loose. If that makes sense.
Anyone else experience this after a shock absorber change?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
