Default Spark Plugs 2.8

I dont think the spark plugs have been done for a while on my car. Just wondering what plugs you guys use for the 2.8L 30V. im in NY so the temp outside goes from really cold to really hot year round if that matters.

I'm going to try the E3 plugs. I've heard good things about them. I will post how they do.

i got bosch platinum+3. they work great so far. only reason i went with them is because i needed plugs badly, the old ones were the original and it had 111k on it lol. i'd go with ngk if my area had them.

I too have a 2.8 and I redid my spark plugs and wires as my very first I guess u can call it mod. I went with The new Bosch Fusion Iridium, I am really happy with them and tehy were cheap u can get them at any auto part store. I also went with Bosch spark plugs wires but I had to have those shipped for around 150.00 or so, overall though I am happy with both of them.

Bosch +4 paltinums. Highly recommendalbe. That's the stock now, I believe.

I just did mine not too long ago. But, have fun removing the ignition coils....the ones in the rear (near the driver/passenger) get harder to take out due to the amount of room. Make sure you have different kinds of plyers, tools, and an imaginative mind to put things in good use to get the coils out. You may be lucky, and they might just come out easily. Make sure you use silver anti-seize on the new spark plugs or else you're in trouble next time you need to do the job.

P.S. If you notice any oil on the old spark plugs, it's time to do the vavle cover gasket. Not hard to do. Look up one of my previous posts. There is a link to a google video on how to do that if you need to do that or need help.

Have fun

I beleive that the above post is referring to 1.8t engines. Also, I just changed my plugs and and liked the fact that the super expensive bosch +4's have a larger change interval, but after trying them would not recommend them as they caused my car to misfire and upon further research have done this to many others as well. I replaced them with regular old single point bosch platinums and car is reunning tip top. IN my opinion, those multi point plugs should only be used with ignition mods and advancements.
