Timing Belt Life & Cost to Replace?
The timing belt has been replaced on my car once (at 75,000 miles). How long is the new one good for?
If I were to have the dealership do the next replacement, how much would the entire job cost?

IIRC the interval is 60k miles. Always better to err on the side of caution with the timing belt though.

so.....
theres a lot here unanswered.
first off, ive known dealerships to do timing belt jobs by just replacing the timing belt and not the tensioner or the water pump (which should be replaced all at once to prevent u from paying ridiculous labor charges over the long run)
so i hope you got the entire job done not just the timing belt.
but with that assumed, you are good for another 60-70k miles. i wouldn't risk 80. especially on an aging car.
and if you plan on going to a stealership expect to pay around 1000-1200 dollars.
just keep in mind the timing belt kits are around 200-300 dollars. i had my local audi mechanic do my tbelt job @ 60k miles and he charged 440 for labor and i provided the tbelt kit from ecstuning that was around 200 dollars. less than half of what you would pay for at a dealer.

Full parts kits from ECSTuning or Blauparts is about 300 bucks... doing the work yourself is free...

OP- Get the kit, do it yourself, change all the seals, water pump, tensioner, etc. that comes with the kit. Rent the tools, it helps.

I had assumed that he knew this, but after careful consideration of the fact that the most F.A.Q. was just asked, it is obvious now that it was a bad assumption...
