To measure tranny fluid temp. I was goin to use a laser thermometer and plot at the tranny to try and get close to 40 degrees Celsius. Im going to fill what i can efore i start the car, then have someone start it while i pump/fill, then have them go through the gears while i continue to fill. im just not sure when i should stop (fluid gets to desired temp). Does anyone know how long it takes for a dead cold Tranny to reach that idling? Anyone have experience filling without a vag com? I heard I could use a 10$ cable from amazon, is that true? Thanks!
