Wipers can't keep up with rain.

Wipers can't keep up with rain.
The windshield wipers in my car suck and can't keep up with the rain. The wipers are original Audi, and I replace the rubber strips every season, but even on the highest speed they are relatively slow and can't keep up with the rain when it is pouring and makes visibility difficult.
I have read threads about people saying there motor has slowed down, and have taken there wipers apart to clean them. My aren't running slow, they are just slow on these cars.
Anyone have a solution?

I don't know offhand if you can retrofit a different Audi motor to the assembly. Chances are there are only a couple types anyhow since it's cheaper for Audi than designing a lot of different ones. I doubt there's much in the way of bigger ones either. Rain-X is great though - you won't even need the wipers. A tip - when you prep for winter, put several coats on all the windows as well as the headlights and taillights. Even freezing rain and sleet won't stick - you'll just have a slushpile to wipe off. No more scraping the windows

I'm not sure what the problem is, but as others have mentioned, USE RAIN-X!!! You will not regret it. It's actually quite fun watching the rain glide off the windshield effortlessly at 60+ MPH. I can't live without the stuff now. Don't buy Rain-X brand windshield wipers, they are just way overpriced. Stick with the Rain-X treatment though and you'll be very happy.
As for the slow wipers, I doubt this will help, but maybe try replacing the whole blade rather than the rubber strip. More than likely though it's the motor.

F yes!
Unlikely, but thanks for the suggestion.
Seems like Rain-X is the best solution. Thanks guys. I'll let you know how it works for me.
