2003 Audi A4 CVT bad
Hello, I hava an Audi A4 2003 model 3.0v6 2wd CVT automatic transmission. It's shot. Can I use a non CVT trans in this car? What is involved with the conversion or is it possible?
Transmission code is GGR
Thanks!

Getting a replacement tranny through dealer is about $7900. Maybe you could risk getting a used one try these guys http://www.shokan.com/. Good luck man that sucks about your cars.

On the 2003 A4 could you give some info on what it's symptoms were? Trying to compile info on the CVT trannies for the forums.
How many miles on car when you purchased it?
How many miles on car when symptoms started occuring?
How many miles on car when tranny failed?
Had you ever had the CVT fluid changed?
I'd really appreciate your feedback. Sorry to hear that you've had a run of bad luck, hopefully it's limited to the cars because they can always be fixed.

The TCM is located inside the trans on the CVT so changing the fluid can sometimes mess up the module if the fluid level isn't correct. However there is a TSB for replacing faulty modules, so glad to hear it worked out for you.
