Default 2004 A4 Convertible Radio Dead!!!

My 2004 A4 Convertible Radio just went all static with no warning. it now comes in and out at times. The Satellite and CD player still work, but not AM/FM. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?????

i would pull the radio out and check the antenna connection. It may have loosened up over time and vibration. The other connections all have locks on them, but for some reason the antenna connection is just a friction fit.

This is slightly off topic, but I have a 2006 A4 cabriolet with XM receiver.

Do you have satellite reception problems when you drive under trees?

My Acura had buffer and had no problem.

I believe problem may be cabriolet antenna related, since the antenna is part of the trunk lid as opposed to being on the roof in the sedans.
