Default 2004 A4 Quattro 3.0 Cabriolet: What type of Wood was used for trim?

Hi Everyone!
Here's my question for all of you that know more about Audi's than I.
2004 A4 Quattro 3.0 Cabriolet: What type of Wood was used for trim?
My friends and coworkers think it's not wood but plastic. I've told them the Germans don't roll like that! They counter with: "That's too shiny to be wood!" I ask them if they know anything about laying a serious lacquer coating on wood..."
I have worked with wood, and to me it looks like Cherry, possibly Maple, but I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks and happy Motoring!
