But i just found out today that i need two new Catalytic Converters. first thing that is happening in the am is the place that i got the car from is gonna let me know how they are gonna help out. then i have too think about if i have too do it my self would it be a big deal if i get used ones? or are they cheaper ones that at the dealer out there?

try local parts stores even though i think they'll have to special order it for you . also look at bosal.com you shouldnt put used ones on unless you like blind gambles. and depending on what state youre in and the laws there and how long ago you purchased the car you might be able to get away with the seller fixing it for you. in wisconsin for example there is a state law that gives you 30 days after purchase to deal with returns or problems that might arise. good luck

yea your right i have called them and left a message letting them know what issues i have came across. i was looking up some prices from what they told me at the shop today an online is a lot cheaper so far. but for the most part i really know that i am not paying for any of this being that i got the car friday. an i already got the new title back so it will be nothing for me too give the car back an get my money back. thanks....

I don't know how different they are on an A4, but I had to replace them on my wife's A6 and I bought replacements from Jeg's for about $60 each. The Audi versions are much more expensive.

Yup, same with my Audi i needed a New Cat at 85k miles i've been looking for a good deal for the past month and im already at 87k miles. Apparently the actual replacement can cost from 200-400$ depending where you buy it from. Then there are some magnaflow universal Cat's going for 80$ each. If i were you and depending where you live i would go with the 80$ maganflows because their not legal in cali.

if you get universal ones remember that you still have to go to an exhaust shop to get the properly welded on
