Default Need help identifying a broken elbow hose.

Hi guys,

The check engine light came on recently on my 2004 Audi A4 1.8 turbo and then reader said P0411 - Secondary Air Injection Upstream flow for a predetermined period of time.

I opened the hood to do a quick inspection and found that an elbow hose looks like it cracked and fell off.

Not sure what hose/part this is but can someone let me know what replacement part I'll need? (see attachments)

Thanks!

that part on my 2000 b5 is 058 133 785 followed by something that looks like an H or an 8. It was about $45 at the dealer. you can probably make one up with some automotive hose and clamps. replace it and see if the code goes away, because that is the line from the SAI pump to the Kombi valve. Both may have gone bad - bad Kombi or Combi valve causes water to get to the SAI pump. excellent video on youtube about trouble shooting SAI process. My b6 actually has the home made elbow on it at that spot.

pretty common dry rot connection.

+1 to the self made fitting with hose and hose clamps. I used a vinyl hose and warmed it up over a torch slightly to get the tight bend in it.

This is just a thought for you guys to check into. I wonder if a coolant bypass hose from maybe a Ford 5.0/5.8L or Chrysler 3.9/5.2/5.9L or others with that type of bypass hose would work? They are 90 degree bend hoses and one of them MIGHT have the correct inside diameter and they're only a few bucks at most any auto parts store.

As I said, just an idea.
Top hose is Chrysler 318/360, bottom one is a Ford 5.0L hose.
