seafoam and clogged oil pick up filter
questions guys i am about to do a seafoam treatment on my 03 B6 BUT about 6 months ago i got that problem where the oil pick up filter got clogged had to remove oil pan. etc.... now would it be safe to put some seafoam in the crankcase to clean the inside or will all the gunk from the engine clog my pickup filter again. suggestions, opinions open to all suggestions. BTW which vaccum line do i let my car suck up the seafoam through and where is it located. thanks to you all.

By seafoam every time what do you mean?
I assume run seafoam in the crankcase before you drain? details?
Am a Audi noob as well and just getting through the first round of maintenance for an '03 A4 1.8T Q 5spd 88k miles that I just bought last week.

Big difference using Seafoam regularly since you bought the car and dumping in a bottle at 80-90k. That could break loose all sorts of nasty gunk that could clog the pump, oil lines, etc. I asked my indie about using it a couple years ago (I already had well over 100k on my A6) and he recommended against it....just continue with regular oil and filter changes. Seems good advice as I just turned 182k with no problems.
