There is a really nice 2002 audi a4 1.8t that has 116k miles. It has had all of the usual maitnence (timing belts and more) it has a ko4 turbo with a tuner, neuuspeed exhaust, short throw shifter, and a bunch of other mods. I only have 8500 dollars and that's the problem. He was asking 10500 I offered 8500 and he took it. Should I get it? I wouldn't have any other money for maitnence and I don't know if its smart. Need

It is not smart to not have money set aside for maintenance for ANY car. Sounds like a pretty nice list of mods on the car, but if you don't have some extra money for the routine maintenance at least, and preferably also for the random stuff that'll break, owning it will not be a fun experience. Especially on a mid-to-high mileage car like that, it'd be good to see receipts documenting all the maintenance, especially the big ticket items like the timing belt.

 

It looks to me like its worth the $8,500 with the mods. You should be fine as long as its been maintained properly. You might want to have it inspected at a shop first to make sure everything is in good working order. With the mods the guy has done he may be a member of the audizine forum. You could ask around over there as well.
