Default Wiper Install

This may sound silly, but I'm getting frustrated. I cannot figure out how to install a new wiper blade. I got the old one off, that's about it. I'm trying to install a new rain-x blade i got at advance: http://www.rainx.com/Tips_Informatio...herbeater.aspx

Can someone tell me if it's hook arm, pin arm, or bayonnet arm? Has anyone installed one of these before?

if ur model is B6 (02-05):

this rainX blade won't FIT!!!!

neither can the Universal Adapters from BOSCH or PIAA blades,

None of the universal adapters (previous audi models before 02 refered as C3 adapter), PIAA, or BOSCH wipers work with B6 models.
so dont bother wasting time and get frustrated.

even for the BOSCH (aerotwin, microEdge, etc) WON'T fit our B6.

the only way is to go Audi Dealer and purchase the OEM BOSCH wiper blades from them.
I bought them for $35 bucks including tax last week.
Unfortunately when I installed the driver side, I pushed too hard and the clip broke, had to replace the whole wiper arm for $85 bucks.
($49 for driver wiper arm, $24 for labour)
and the dealer told me B7's wiper arm wont fit B6.
just make sure when u take the old one out, dont put too much force. the manual has instructions for replacing wiper blade.
now my wiper finally works great...

here's the OEM BOSCH part# for B6:
-8E1 955 425A (Driver side)
-8E0 955 425A (Passenger side)

good luck!

i believe aero blades are STANDARD on B7, not B6.

they're more expensive, but they last longer and does a better job!!

I just got mine from eBay Item number: 270179431642. OEM wipers $34 with ship'g from NY. Good thing I read this thread prior to installtion. I was careful not to break those clips. I wish they didn't cost so much. I wonder if replacing just the blades (rubber part) with minor modifications to make fit, would work?? Anyone tried this?

just by the wiper inserts from auto zone. you dont need to replace the whole thing.
