Bought the A4!

Bought the A4!
With good advice from the members here I ended up buying an 2005.5 A4 quattro.
I'll probably be posting more details later but had a quick question and have seen this issue posted elsewhere with no answer.
Tried hooking up my OBDII code reader and got an "ERR" message.
I've used this on my other cars and they all worked.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks!

Congrats!
Just make sure you read the Maintenance Sticky and if nothing else pay close attention to the Fuel pump Cam follower.
My 08 follower ground right out at 90,000 miles so it's not a fixed problem like Audi would like us to believe.
I also have the torque converter slip problem. I usually just beat it a little. Once it warms up it's fine.
Ironically my 98 A6 had the same torque converter issue lol

I already have a new cam follower and the fuel pump o-ring in hand.
Probably do that in the next week or two.
Thanks
