Spark Plugs

Spark Plugs
New to Audi here. Bought a 2006 A4 S-Line about 3 weeks ago. A week and a half ago I had to have my car towed to a dealership in Casper because the car started idling really hard and when I pushed the gas the whole car would vibrate.
The dealership has had my car this whole time and just now (after a very rude conversation) the service manager let me know that I need to new spark plugs because the 4th cylinder isn't firing. He quoted me $300.
The car is going to be picked up tomorrow and brought back to me because I don't trust this dealership.
I was wondering where I could get quality/relatively cheap spark plugs and also is this something my dad could do for me?
Was the quote from the dealer right?
I'm not a car guru by any means.
Thank you for your help!

I don't know what spark plugs you would need, but $300 is definitely ridiculous. Also, there's a recall for our cars of the coil packs. When one fails, that also causes symptoms like you experienced. If it was a coilpack failure, it should be replaced for free.

I'll definitely look into the coilpack recall.
I plan on taking the car down to Denver (minus the Casper dealer, that is the nearest one. Damn South Dakota).
Thank you for the feedback!
Just can't wait to get my car back into working order. Only drove it for 2 weeks before it got sent it.

Coil pack for sure. Free under the recall. **** those lying bastards. You know it takes like 3 minutes to change a coil and 5 minutes to replace a plug right? They are all sitting right on top. I had 2 coils go bad and they were covered under the recall. Do not trust them or have them do your plugs for $300. That is just evil.
Quick tip is to swap the coil with another and you will tell that it is a different cylander mis-firing quickly. That lets you know the coil is bad.

Thanks everybody!
My dad helped me change the spark plugs yesterday and the car is running smoother than when I first got it.
Plan on changing just the #4 coil pack before going to Denver to get the whole recall done just to be safe.
Cannot believe they quoted me $300 for spark plugs.
I got it done for $16.49 plus learned a little something about my car!
You guys have been great!
