Default torque converter?

does anyone know if there's a torque converter in the car that you can take off, or chip to take off? because everytime i floor it, there is absolutely no tire spin, even at 2k rpm..weird.

Im guesing its a tip/autobox and yes you can upgrade the trany software same as the engine ECU but the term torque converter aplies to the trany as in clutch not a wheely spin thing

Get a chip there are a couple to choose from. It will cost you i think around 500 and you will get some good HP. Just hit the search tab up top. Or go to the A4 main section and find the Newbie guide version 2.

You can't upgrade the software in the B7 transmission control module. You can only upgrade the ECU software which is independent.

The only way to get the best performance out of the tiptronic is to drive it in tiptronic mode. When in tip mode it locks the torque converter so you get the best power transfer.
