2009 B8 A4 2.0T 2968 error code intake flap
2009 B8 A4 2.0T 2968 error code intake manifold flap position sensor.
I've searched and haven't found anything current. what i have found looks VW specific and not like my manifold.
What I have done, cleared the code with VAG-COM and comes back in a few days. Manually moving the vacuum pot moves the linkage. the linkage does not pull out of the manifold. Any ideas?

What you are looking for in general is error code: P2015.
Here are some good pointers:
18447/P2015/008213 - Ross-Tech Wiki
I would start with the cheap solution as long as the arm is not popped out and not broken:
Take it apart and clean it with parts cleaner then lubricate the linkage arm/moving parts but wipe away excessive oil so it doesn't contaminate the manifold. Those flaps can get stuck (happened on my 2002 a6 v8 engine too) and cleaning them properly can free it up so you don't have to replace anything.
If that didn't help or you noticed damage you are looking probably at:
1. A sensor replacement (unlikely from what I read)
2. Some wiring or the connector to the sensor/manifold flap (also unlikely but not unheard of)
3. Manifold replacement (most likely)
Good Luck!

2009 A4 2.0T intake broken
Yes the intake flap was broken. After reviewing the how-to's i farmed it out to my trusted shop The Auto Clinic in Mansfield.. R+R intake didn't look bad, but replacing the injector seals with out special tools and cleaning the intake tract better let the shop do it.
