B8 A4 reliability - result ASAP
#12
Our initial result for the 2009 A4 has been posted. This result covers owner experiences through the end of March. A big thank you to everyone who helped to make a quick result possible.
With a repair frequency of 37 repairs per 100 cars per year, the new Audi A4 scores very close to the Honda Accord, and better than some key competitors. A very good result for an all-new model.
These cars are of course young, and it remains to be seen how they'll fare as they age. With prompt quarterly updates, we'll track them closely. The more participants we have, the better the information we can provide.

Earlier is better, but it's never too late. Updated results every three months, and the more owners participate the better the information we can provide to everyone.
96 2009s now signed up. 100+ soon?

We've updated the results for the B8 A4 to include owner experiences through June 2009. The updated stat is 41 repair trips per 100 cars per year, which is about average, but not far from "better than average."
Everyone who has been helping--thanks, I certainly appreciate it. We'll have further updates in November and February. The more owners participate, the better the information we can provide to everyone.
More 2010s would be especially helpful, so we can start reporting on the second model year.

You're certainly welcome.
Updated results next month. Excellent participation by B8 owners, with 128 signed up so far. Of course, with sample sizes more is always better, so additional participants would be helpful.
Especially need more 2010s.

Now 133 owners signed up for the 2009 and 22 for the 2010. More 2010s would be especially helpful. We might have a result for it in February, but it's going to be tight.
