Dilemma - new A4 or 2009 Prestige?
Hey guys,
I have been looking for a while now for the perfect A4 sedan for me. The following are my "must-haves" :
1) LED headlights!
2) Black / Black
3) 2010 or newer
4) Quattro
5) Automatic
6) MP3 connectivity
7) Under 30k miles
8) Under $32k cost
This morning, I came across this car:
http://cars.audiusa.com/408B21-town-...4-20t-prestige
It is a year older than I wanted, but the beast is loaded for bear! I am trying to figure out if it can be a good buy if I get the dealer down to $32k.
I am also in the midst of considering just going for a 2012 Premium with style, convenience and sport packages. Let me explain why this makes a bit of sense (although I hate the idea of buying a new car) - I do not drive all that much; therefore the "100,000 mile" CPO warranty is a pipe dream; I will hit the 2 years before I hit 65k miles. Buying new, it will probably take me 5+ years to reach the extended warranty, by which point I will probably be ready to sell. So, in a way, it does make a bit of sense for me to pay the $5k+ premium on a new car.
That said, finding this 2009 Prestige, I am torn. Do I really want to pay more $ for a newer vehicle with less features? I am confused, please help!

depends
i think it all goes down whether you care about the warranty or not. if you do, get it new- if you don't get the prestige. My dad's a4 had oil leaks and several minor problems at 70,000 miles, so we always trade in our cars before the warranty expires. we lose a few thousand dollars but its nothing compared to the repair costs of the problems we had with our audi- its the same with benz, and bmw's.
I'm getting a new premium plus a4, glacier white-but i want the prestige...-but so pricey...

i'd get the used one to save some money, considering the minor differences between the two.

If the car is a CPO unit it should have an extended warrantee so you should have peace of mind purchasing the car.

I just bought the 2009 A4 Prestige last week, it is such a nice car. The stereo is phenomenal. The push button start, curtains in back, keyless entry and all that really makes the car fun. and if im spending the money im spending on a car it better be fun. I look forward to getting in it every day. I traded in my '08 B7 for it and am on cloud 9 right now. the only reason to get a new A4 would be the 8speed transmission, other than that the '09 prestige is where its at

Not for nothing though but that price is super high. I paid 29k for mine and it has 21k miles on it with woodgrain trim and my stereo buttons are on the bottom of the console near the shifter, not on top near the ac. mine is a CPO and was purchased at an audi dealer in nyc area
