Just how reliable is a 2009 high mileage a4???
I really miss driving, and currently live in Boston. I want to purchase an audi for weekend trips and getting home, and on my days off, to travel the east coast. I was looking at some b7 A4's in the 90,000 mile range, but figured the newer model (2009 and up, ideally a 2009 exactly to save money) may be more reliable. As long as the timing belt has been changed, is purchasing a used 2009 A4 2.0t in the 90k mileage range going to be fairly reliable w/ normal maintenance??
My 2000 a4 had a check engine light on every day of the year lol....
Really appreicate the help, and hope to get back on the road soon. Thanks guys.
TLDR: - How reliable is a 2009 A4 in the 90k mileage range .

It's to bad as we just pretty much gave away my kids 2009 A4 with 71K miles on it. We were the 2nd owner of a CPO car and I have maintained it. It has never been at a dealer and had oil changes every 5K miles. The car never let my kid down but it was time for a change. As for the oil consumption concern it appeared to be not a serious user (although any oil usage is not acceptable to me) and only used 1 quart per 3K miles. It got normal gas mileage 24-29 and that was using 87 oct. gas. Other then various filter changes the only other maintenance items were front brake pads and a new set of tires. I would think the only issue you would need to find out about was it's oil usage. Good luck
